Research has shown that air pollution and climate change affect both
the duration and quality of sleep; threatens physical and mental health
especially through respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems; and
shortens life expectancy. This review will begin with overall information
on air pollution, climate change and sleep. Then, it will proceed with
the effects of these two environmental issues on sleep, in the light of
previous research.
